This image was taken at one of my favorite places to go telemark skiing - Pilot's Peak. Pilot's Peak is located north of Idaho City, and in the winter you can park at Mores Creek Summit on highway 21 and ski up the ridgeline. Pilot's Peak used to have a lookout, but now there is only a building with communication equipment.
On the occasion for taking this photograph, everything was perfect - a recent significant snow, blue sky and no wind, and I was the first person to break a track up the ridge.
