This photograph is taken from an un-named peak in the middle of the Sawtooth
mountains, looking west. Arguably, you can see 8 distinct ridgelines and,
I don't really know, but at least 100 miles? I think the furthest away
mountains are those above the town of Cascade.
I am excited about this image, not only because of how dramatic it is as
a view rarely seen, but also that it is derived from medium format film.
I can print this tack-sharp 17X34 inches, to express incredible fine detail.
I have fond memories of hiking back down the mountain by headlamp after
a perfect Summer day high in the Sawtooths.
