The purple sage was wonderful, a very nice touch for Spring color in the desert. The weather was so windy and wet that I didn't think I would get an opportunity to photograph them, but after a full day of terrible winds and rain there was a brief pause at sunset when it became perfectly calm. The video below is a whimsical one taken while killing time sitting in my friend's truck ... we spent a fair amount of time sitting in the truck watching as the wind tried to blow our tents away! The photograph I took above is almost in the field of view of this video, just off to the right.
