The Glacier Lilly flower is one of my favorite Springtime flowers, and
happens to occur naturally on my land here in the mountains of SW Idaho.
As a matter of fact, this flower was located under the stairs of my
front deck!
Macro (close up) photography with a medium format camera is very challenging.
It requires absolutely no motion for the typically 8 seconds each exposure
requires. There cannot be even the hint of wind. I felt extraordinarily
fortunate to get this image, which is perfect, sharp. I think part of why
this worked was because it was somewhat protected by any wind being under
the stairs of my deck.
