I try hard to look at all possibilities when photographing the natural
landscape. One thing that I value is the fact that the camera can from
time to time create an image that the human eye cannot see. In this
case, using a fast shutter speed I was able to capture a beautiful
texture of somewhat frozen water drops in the stream - reflected by
sunlight.
The film also 'sees' shadow as a much more deeper blue cast, which the
human eye interprets and mostly filters out. I decided to leave the
blue cast in shadow - I thought it enhanced the mysteriousness of the image.
